We believe in an open, inclusive and accessible museum sector. We know many museum professionals want to make a change, but where to start when your work demands you to rush from one deadline to the next, if you don’t know many people in the sector yet, or if you feel like nobody in your organisation shares your vision? We need each other to bring about positive change: whether you're an experienced or an aspiring museum professional, working with a permanent or fixed contract, have your own business or are in between jobs.

The Night Shift team is a group of people based in and around Rotterdam who work in the cultural sector. We organise monthly events for inspiration and conversation around topics related to working in/with museums, art and heritage. Every month we pick a theme and invite speakers from the sector and beyond to inspire us, to make us think and act. We do this work on a voluntary basis, but we do make some costs. Your donation can help us to keep Night Shift going.
 
Costs
Our online events are free, we charge a small fee for our in-person events. We find it important to keep our events accessible to as many people as possible, but unfortunately the revenu from ticket sales doesn’t always cover the costs of organising an event. We are donating our time to this project, but we do make the following costs: our website, thank you gifts & beverages for speakers and a speaker fee for freelance speakers.
