Abelina Magana's Quest to Walk Again

Hi friends and family,
I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing woman at my church, and I was just so floored by her story that I can't contain my desire to do anything that I can to help. In this case, it's trying to raise a few dollars.
Abelina Magana is a local Novato mother of three, who is a victim of domestic violence. Six years ago, she returned home with two of her three kids (ages 10 and 12 at the time), and was shot 15 times by her husband. He shot her over the span of 20 minutes, in front of her precious children. He then killed himself. She miraculously survived, but became quadriplegic as a result. Her faith, her desire to continue getting stronger, and her contagious peace was just overwhelming to witness. Her son, Angel, now 16, was with her speaking at church, such a powerful testimony. Abelina has researched endlessly on ways to reach a very amazing goal: to walk again. She is still quadriplegic, but through two surgeries in Panama, she has gained the ability to move her arms. Amazing.
She is now aiming to travel to Panama for another treatment. They remove stem cells from her body, and reintroduce them into her spine. Since stem cell science is under much debate in the states, it is illegal to perform here. But, the first two treatments yielded such fabulous results, Abelina is pursuing her next step.
