Awesome Trike Challenge for Lewis's Journey

Lewis has a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy which leads to progressive muscle loss.

Lewis has challenged himself to trike 79km to help raise funds for his all-terrain outdoor wheelchair. Lewis will be completing laps on his trike at various destinations, until he completes his last lap on 7th September 2024!

Duchenne Awareness Day is held on the 7th September each year to honour the 79 exons on the dystrophin gene. An error on any one of these exons causes Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This significant day serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by individuals and families affected by this rare genetic disorder.
