Help Build An Orphanage

Hello! My name is Terry Beckman and I am 16 years old. I really need help to raise money to improve the living conditions at an orphanage in the mountains of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. I have an awesome opportunity to go on a mission trip to the Domincan  Republic this summer! Trip is July 22nd to August 2nd, 2014

*Wish List Fund for Orphan Beach Day Trip* ~ @ $450 to Rent a Busand driver for the day, purchase bathing suits and lunch and dinner for all the kids. 

  This will be my first time doing voluteer mission work, but not my first time in the Dominican Republic.  My parents did some mission work there when I was 3 and my little brother was born there! I don't remember actually being there so I am really looking forward to going back! I am going to help with the construction to build an extension  on “Casa Tesoro's de Dios” (which in English translation means “Treasures of God Home”) It’s an orphanage that has 41 kids ranging from 2 years old to 13 years but  they only have two bedrooms to split between ALL of them.  We need all the help we can get to make this dream a reality! Would you like to help with even just a small donation to  build a second floor out of concrete cinder block? We need at the least 13,000 blocks for Phase # 1.  I know that sounds like a lot but they are only .50 each and really anything would help. Just think how much of a change in the kids daily living conditions this ALL could do! We would LOVE for you to join us too…..BUT even if you can’t in person would you consider buying a few blocks for us?

*We are also planning to take the kids on a fun beach day trip. Believe it or not, many of them have never even been to the beach because it's an hour away and they need transportation! So we need to raise money to rent a bus for one day! 

*Currently 6 Volunteers and counting will be paying ALL their own travel cost and donating their time so fully 100% of all donated funds will go directly towards the orphanage construction.... and beach trip for the kids with any remainder. : )
