The Discovering... a dance company

Since 2011, Andrea and Kianna Jasper, along with dance family and friends in the commercial dance industry, have been trying to find ways to create opportunities for dancers to continue their training by bringing class opportunities to local communities globally.  Through collectiveUth, they have been able to bridge professional adult and child dancers by creating exposure to talent that had been long disregarded.

Now that they are back in their hometown of Charlotte, they want to create additional supplemental training opportunities for serious and aspiring dancers.  The Discovering is a pre- and professional development dance company.  The Discovering will offer a community outreach component where members will partner with choreographers and faculty to train underprivileged youth in community and recreation centers, shelters, after school programs, and approved program organizations.  Our faculty and administrators have prior competition, company, and commercial industry experience.

The Discovering would love your support.  Your financial contribution would assist in the startup by securing weekly training space, compensation to staff and faculty, scholarships and funding for our outreach program, creative freedom to develop a holiday showcase, and so much more.
