A Victory for Vada

Donation protected
My sister, Brittani, picked up her very first Doberman back in June of 2009, she named her Vada. They've been at each other's side since that very day. Vada's grown up with her sister, a Westhighland Terrier named Maggie, and a handful of dobies owned by other family members.
On January 19th, 2018, Vada took a harsh slip and began to drag her left hind leg. The next morning, she was taken to our local animal hospital for examining. What we thought was just a minor pull or tear, was so much more.
The x-rays revealed a severe fracture on Vada's left femur. This break revealed the answers to a very unexpected diagnosis,  osteosarcoma (bone cancer). She's only 8 years young, and still resembling many of the same qualities of a puppy. So how could something like this happen so quickly?
Well with sudden emergencies, come immediate decisions. It was obvious Vada was in extreme pain, but yet such a will to live.
On January 23rd, Vada was taken in for surgery to have her leg amputated. She will have a long road to recovery, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, these kind of situations cannot be planned or prepared for. With the operation, chemo, and multiple follow-ups, and my sister being a single fur parent, every dollar would make a difference! Help Vada fight for her own victory! ❤
