Help for Luna

Our girl Luna is 11 years old and she’s going through a little tough time. 

She suffers from epilepsy which at the moment is controlled with daily medication. This week at the vet they found a mass they decided to remove immediately and post op care plus her disinterest in food and water has caused alarm and we are doing all that we can to make sure we can care for our girl even just a fraction that she has cared for us. Cost escalated quickly Due to all the testing required and though we thought we could cover it with a loan but it has continued to escalate and put us in a tight spot financially. Any pet parent can understand the helplessness if money is the only object.  We are working with her vet on administering IV at home and monitoring her kidneys. She’s very food motivated so to see her disinterested in all food and fluid and to watch her struggle is like watching my heart beat out of my body. With everything still looming over us. We ask you share this with friends any and all donations are a blessing. 


It’s safe to say that she is the light that brightens our home. She came to us as a stray, matted and overheated from walking in the Texas sun  she was dehydrated and had scabs on her paws from the hot pavement. We took her to the vet and found she was not chipped, after weeks of asking around our apartment complex and the neighboring buildings no one claimed her. So she was ours officially, although we knew she’d be with us from the moment she looked up at us. 

When we suffered a miscarriage she was the strength to get us out of bed and to a park or to even just the sunlight,  for days she was by our side just to get us back to our spirits. My brother later had brain surgery and she sat at his door Caring and guarding him all day and all night. She truly is just caring for us wondering “hoomans” who don’t know a thing and often need a little reminder that support can come from the most unlikely places.
