Dear family and friends,
A quick update on my life: I just finished my third semester at Yale! It’s crazy that I’m nearing the halfway point already. I’ve gotten involved in music through multiple groups, and one of them is my Christian ministry, Chi Alpha. I have the opportunity to play guitar at our weekly meetings, and it has been a large part of finding my place on campus. I’ve met some of my most reliable friends through the Chi Alpha community and engaged in some of their ministry opportunities, like serving hot chocolate on the main quad and leading a small bible study with friends.
This spring break (March 10-17), Chi Alpha is organizing a one-week mission trip to Grenoble, France to work with the college ministry and refugee population in the city. I’m especially excited about this opportunity because I’ve spent the past year learning Arabic, both at school and in Jordan. The language barrier is perhaps the most difficult and discouraging challenge refugees face in their journey, and hopefully I can use my skills to show them Christian hospitality and love like I have experienced through Chi Alpha at Yale.
To participate in this trip, I need to raise $1500 by March. All of this money will come from the gifts of friends and family. I need to gather this money as soon as possible to buy my plane tickets. If you would like to support this trip, I encourage you to donate here! Even the smallest amount helps me to reach my goal, so I am extremely grateful for anything from $0.05 to $5.00 to $50.00 and beyond.
