Avery's Nicaragua Volunteer Trip

Welcome to my Go Fund Me page! I have signed up with Free The Children to go to Nicaragua on a Me To We trip this summer, from August 6th to 17th, 2014. From a young age, I have always been interested in traveling to a foreign country in order to help in any way that I could, and now that I'm 13 I can do that through Free The Children. 13 is the youngest age that you can be to go on a Me To We trip, and although I am a little nervous, I am excited to go and make a difference.
While I'm there I will be helping to build a school. I will be doing hands-on labour, working hard in order to give children a place to get an education. I will get to try new foods and experience a different culture through the stories and songs that I will hear while spending time with the local people in their communities.
100% of the funds that I raise will go toward my travel expenses, trip costs, and some supplies for the school that I will be building. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous support and for helping children get an education that they could never afford otherwise. This is a trip of a lifetime and I know that I will be changed forever.
