Relief Fund For Averi And The Armitage Family

Donation protected
First of Tyler and Jerica would like to say that the outpouring of love and support for the entire family has been overwhelming and they are very grateful.

As Averi and her friends are rampant on social media, we will keep this as short and sweet as possible.

Averi (known as Aviator or little boo boo) was airlifted to BC Children's Hospital from Vernon with a severe and rare condition called Aplastic Anemia. A combination of medications and other therapies are her planned treatment protocol. Though this is a treatable medical issue, they will be working on a treatment plan and waiting at least three months, if not more, to see if the plan is working.

COVID-19 has put a further strain on her families by not allowing Averi contact with anyone besides Jerica, her Mother, and Matt, her Father.  The effects for the Armitage's, is that Jerica has needed to leave her One year old baby, Anica, at home while she stays in Vancouver full time to care for Averi. This has thrust Tyler, Averi's Step-Father, into a limited and reduced work schedule as he is now Anica's primary caregiver. Due to Averi's compromised immune system, COVID restrictions and in an effort to keep Anica as comfortable and settled as possible, Tyler and her will be staying in Vernon with limited visits to Averi and Jerica.  Thank goodness for Facetime!

The funds raised in this Go Fund Me, will be used to support the Armitage family as their incomes have been significantly impacted by this unexpected medical emergency. Tyler will only be able to work in a reduced capacity while he remains in Vernon to care for their one year old daughter, Anica. Jerica, who had recently returned to work, is unable to while she is in Vancouver as Averi's primary caregiver. Funds generated will be used for accommodation for Jerica, food and fuel costs while staying in Vancouver, towards Averi's medical expenses once discharged from hospital and towards general living expenses while they are impacted by the financial strain this puts on their family.

On a positive note, we are looking forward to getting Averi back home to be with Jerica, Tyler, Anica, Cheif and Batty in Vernon and Matt, Brittany, Allaina, Mia, Maverick and Moe in Kelowna.

All the calls, texts and care being sent are keeping this little girl very busy. No matter what she says, she doesn't need a pet hamster.

We'd like to give a special thanks to Georgia Huack for refusing to go school for the first few days of this so Averi and her could speak on Facetime while Averi was settling into her new normal.

Averi- Your little fiesta attitude alone can beat Aplastic Anemia! You got this kiddo!
