The Leach Family:
Born in March of 2017, Averie Blake Leach has been the light of her parent's lives.
Her father Jarrod, a U.S Army veteran, has been working hard in the oil field to support his happy family. Averie's mother Kelly, a loving and attentive new mom, stays home to care for her.
Unfortunately, right around Averie's first birthday an x-ray showed a mass in her abdomen. After months of constipation with Averie, we had an x-ray done and then an ultrasound when we were told she had a “mass” in her tummy. No one knew what that meant so on March 5th we had a scheduled CT scan at St. Francis Children’s Hospital, later that day we got admitted into the hospital for a softball sized tumor.
March 6th our baby girl turned the big ONE in the hospital. March 7th she went in for surgery to see if they could remove the tumor. Her surgeon could not remove the tumor because it had grown around her Vena Cava and it was pushing her aorta artery forward. Our world has been turned upside down.
She has been diagnosed with a childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. Never in a million years would we have thought that our baby girl would be battling childhood cancer. She will soon start chemo treatments to help shrink the tumor.
Everyone’s thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated as we get through this difficult time

Jarrod and Kelly will be driving to Tulsa several times a week for Averie's treatments so gas cards or lodging in Tulsa would be helpful.
