Hi, this is Kat Kerkhofs, Matti Verbeeck, Marthe Vdh, Gaelle Garcia Diaz and Average Rob. Every year, Studio Brussels (a Belgian radio station) organises a charity festival called 'De Warmste Week ' (translated: the warmest week) where giving back to the less fortunate is the main subject. Everyone is invited to raise money for a charity by choice.
The charity we chose is SOS Children's Villages. Everything they do is guided by the firm belief that no child should grow up alone and deserves a loving home. Sadly, an estimated 1 in 10 children worldwide grows up without the loving care they need. That's 220 million children in desperate need of our help.
SOS Children's Villages is an independent, non-governmental, social development organisation that provides care and support for children and disadvantaged families in 135 countries and that advocates the concerns, rights and needs of children. We know this is a very ambitious goal, but we would really like to raise 2.000€ for this charity by December 23rd 4PM (GMT+1: Brussels Time). It seems a lot, but if we stand together this should be a piece of cake. We strongly believe we can raise more than this, but we think this is a good start. Let's use the power of social media for good!
Here are some examples of what your money will be used for:
For each 30€ raised, SOS Children's Villages is able to provide a child with loving care and a new home for one month.
For each 45€ raised, SOS Children's Villages is able to provide a child with 3 healthy meals every day for one month.
For each 60€ raised, SOS Children's Villages is able to provide a child with 1 year of quality school education.
For each 125€ raised, SOS Children's Villages is able to cover medical expenses and health insurance for 10 children.
No child deserves to grow up alone... Every child deserves a loving home.

As a token of appreciation, Average Rob will be giving away a pair of Oldschool Shitty Glasses for each 1.000€ raised. Also, the person or group who donates the highest amount, will be rewarded with a special thank you package including all glasses, stickers and a personal message. If you live in Belgium, Rob will bring it to you personally. :)
100% of your donations will go directly to 'SOS Kinderdorpen VZW' which is the Belgian branch of SOS Children's Villages.
