<div>My name is Callina and I am fundraising to raise costs for advanced stem cell cancer treatment for my wonderful father Stephen. He was originally diagnosed with lung cancer back in August 2022 where he had an operation to remove part of the lung which we believed and were advised would be curative.

<div>However in November 2023 we unfortunately found out the cancer was back, now Stage 3, in the lung which has now also spread to his rib bone causing him an excruciating amount of daily pain, making him unable to live a normal day to day good quality of life. Stephen has already undergone radiotherapy and we have been told that he can no longer have anymore as would be ineffective. He has just started his first round of Chemotherapy which will be ongoing.

<div>Stephen is the most kind, caring and compassionate person you could ever meet. He has a love for life and people, always giving an empathetic ear with his warmth and generosity making the people he is around feel loved, seen and heard along with making us laugh with his silly and playful nature.

<div>He really is a beautiful person with his loving and supportive energy.

<div>Stephen has been given a life expectancy of 18 months to live (with chemotherapy). However if we manage to raise the funds we are asking for, it will pay for additional advanced immunotherapy treatments called DCT (Dendritic cell Therapy) and UCB CIK ( Umbilical Cord Blood Cytokine Induced Killer Cells).

<div>These treatments work by drawing blood from the patient and creating a bespoke Dendritic cell vaccine which boosts the body's own immune system, giving the patient the best chance of fighting this horrible disease cell by cell.
</div>

<div>The treatment is provided by a company called Immucura where the vaccines will be administered over a 6 month period and where Stephen would also be given round the clock nutritional and emotional support along with physiotherapy.

<div>The funds will be used for:

<li>Paying Immucura's cost of drawing Stephen's blood and sending to the laboratory to gather all the vital information to develop the bespoke personalised DCT vaccine.
</li>
<li>Providing integral and personalised supplementary treatments covering nutritional support, emotional support and physiotherapy.
</li>
<li>Costs to cover travel to get the bespoke Dendritic cell serum administered which should remain active for 6 to 9 months.
</li>
<li>Fee to receive further tailor made immunotherapy treatment

<div>We are not the type to usually ask for help especially money. However Stephen really is so special to us all and we want to give him every fighting chance to battle this crushing disease that effects so many of us in one way or another. We want him to be with us for as long as possible but most importantly, to live a life as pain free as possible.
