Ava's angels

This fundraising page is in hopes to help my daughter Ava receive a stem cell infusion to help treat her cerebral palsy at Duke University North Carolina. I had a normal healthy pregnancy with Ava until around 31 weeks pregnant it was discovered I had polyhydramnios(too much amniotic fluid) doctors did a ultrasound where it was discovered Ava had a porencephalic cyst on her brain. We were reffered to a specialist where it was discovered Ava suffered a massive bleed, a grade four intraventricular hemmorhage on the right side of her brain due to having a hemmorhagic stroke in utero.We were told that Ava would most likely have severe physical or developmental disabilties and we should bank her cord blood. We were able to bank with cord blood registry and recieve a collection kit before Ava was born at 36 weeks by emergency c section. Ava had breathing issues and immediatley had to be intubated and rushed to the nicu where she remained for the next 12 days. It was recently discovered around six months that Ava is hypertonic on her left side of her body meaning she has weakness and stiffness. Upon seeing her neurologist Ava was dignosed with having hemiplegic cerebral palsy. We currently go to physical and occupational therapy once a week in conjuction to having a infant teacher come to our home for a hour a week to help Ava. We were hoping to get into the Duke University cerebral palsy cord blood infusion trial but they are not accepting any new patients at this time unless they privatley pay the costs. It is my hope to find a way for Ava to undergo a stem cell infusion with Duke University before the age of three because the brain has the ability to heal itself and fire off new neurons. Please help Ava be the next cerebral palsy success story.
