Avalon Needs Life Changing Surgery
Donation protected
If 100,000 people could donate $1, we could change Avalon's life forever!!!
Avalon is 6 years old and lives with moderate degree Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia. For Avalon, this means both of her arms and legs are affected, which makes it very difficult for her to sit and impossible to walk.
Avalon's type of Cerebral Palsy causes her muscles to be extremely tight, which means as she grows the affected muscles don't. Over time her bones, joints and muscles will deteriorate. This will cause her consistant pain, eventually rendering her incapable of doing much in a few short years.
She has recently been accepted for a life changing surgery, called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, which will permanently get rid of the tightness in her muscles. This surgery is in the US and will cost around $110,000.
The doctor has also told us that Avalon will potentially walk with crutches, so she will no longer be dependant on a wheelchair. Walking is something that most people take for granted but for Avalon, it would be a dream come true!!
Please help us to take Avalon to the US and change her future forever.
