My school district has approximately 25 students that are considered unaccompanied. These are students that are not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian. Often times they are couch surfing or living with friends. Unaccompanied students are typically teenagers who want to go to school to complete their education, but don't have a permanent home. They often times don't have funds for haircuts, food, clothing or any other supplies. My department is collecting money and/or gift cards for these students. If you are able to contribute through Go Fund Me, all funds will be used to purchase gift cards for these students. If you are interested in contributing to a child that would otherwise not be able to, we thank you!
