12/30/2010:
Autumn had not wanted me to put her accident on FB until we knew as much as we could. She was in a head on collision yesterday morning while at work. She was in surgery last night about 3.5 hours to repair a massive laceration to her left calf and into her knee cap, surgical repair to broken right thumb, right ankle is broken and requires surgery that has to wait for a week due to extreme swelling. Colon repair needed due to lacerations and fluid building in her stomach. She is in SICU and will probably remain throughout today. I received an update this morning she also has 2 fractured ribs and a small pneumothorax the drs think this will heal on its own. Hopefully she will move to the floor sometime today. She is allowed only one person visitor and as her mom respectfully ask that be me.
12/31/2020:
Seen her at 11 this morning and they had removed her o2. They removed the ng tube and she got clear liquid diet at lunch. She had a regular meal at supper. At 4 pm visit, she had been moved to the floor. They have found a pain plan that is working great and has her pain under control. I got to stay with her until 6 pm today.
1/1/2021:
I truly thought I had already made a post updating everyone on Autumn's condition today. She had a good session with therapy with them telling her she rocked that. She's felt really really tired today. Her hemoglobin dropped from 10 to 8 since yesterday. They had to give her a pint of blood this afternoon. They seem to think her liver may have a small bleed in it and hoping that getting the blood will correct it. Like Autumn is, she remains happy and in good spirits! Plans at this time is for her to have surgery to her right ankle on Tuesday the 5th. They also have told her that she needs to do some in-house therapy so I'm sure they will send her to rehab at some point.
1/2/2021:
Today hasn't been a real good day for Autumn. She's beginning to feel really sad and is really tired feeling. She's trying very hard to work her knee and do her therapy. With the new lockdown due to covid again she knows she needs to go to in-house rehab but it's means she won't be able to see Madi and Mason for the length of time that she's there except for maybe through a door or on the phone or some form of distant visitation. She already misses them terribly. Her hemoglobin did come up back to 10 with the blood from yesterday. We also found out today not only does she have two broke ribs she has four broke ribs. One of her drs brought her this list today. It doesn't show the pneumothorax.

Dr came in a bit ago that made the problem list for us. She confirmed that Autumn does have 10 fractured ribs. (Where is Adam?she needs a new one). Lol. She feels better today than yesterday. They are doing PT with her. They just stood her up on the left leg that made her cry out. She is looking at being off work 8 -12 weeks.
