AutoVinco F1 in Schools Finalists

As Irish National Champions, Cjj AutoVinco are representing Ireland at the F1 in Schools World Finals in Singapore next September, and we need your help to get there! Help us raise €5000 to cover our flight costs to Singapore! A major component of the F1 in Schools competition requires teams to generate the funding to compete in every aspect of the competition entirely from their own business acumen. We must raise all the funding to cover our participation fees, competition costs, accommodation and flights over the coming months.  Your funding is incredibly important to the success of our team and our ability to compete at the highest level at the World Finals. We want you to join our team and help us become F1 in Schools World Champions in Singapore! We need your help to raise the €5,000 needed to cover our flight costs to Singapore, and we will ensure that all our supporters receive recognition through our social media platforms and website. About Us Cjj AutoVinco from St. Brigid’s College, Loughrea, Co. Galway are Irish National Champions for 2018 and will represent Ireland at the F1 in Schools World Finals in Singapore this September. F1 in Schools is recognised globally as the premier competition for young people, promoting participation in STEM subjects and career paths. In this multi-disciplinary challenge, we deploy CAD/CAM software to design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race our miniature CO2 powered F1 car. As well as the design and manufacture of our car, there is a huge business aspect to this competition where we will be judged on Verbal Presentations, Portfolios, Marketing, Social Media, Pit Display and Team Identity. The Challenge inspires students to use IT to learn about physics, aerodynamics, design, manufacturing, branding, graphics, sponsorship, marketing, leadership/teamwork, media skills and financial strategy and apply them in a practical, imaginative, competitive and exciting way. Our team mission is to show the world that Ireland and its young people can lead the way globally for engineering, science, business, marketing and innovative thinking, and we are determined to be crowned F1 in Schools World Champions for 2018! In 2017, four members of our team were placed fourth at the World Finals in Kuala Lumpur, winning a major award along the way. Using this knowledge and experience we have created a team which we firmly believe has the drive, determination and ability to win gold for Ireland on the world stage.
