Autmn Fletcher & Family

Donation protected
My very dear friend, Autmn Fletcher, was involved in a head-on car collision Friday morning, August 24th. The injuries she sustained in this collision were not only substantial, but also life-threatening. We are all so very grateful to God for sparing her life. The road ahead for Autmn will be long and hard and full of uncertainty. Her needs are great and that is why I am reaching out to you today in hopes that you will consider a financial donation to help Autmn and her little family during the difficult months ahead.
Autmn’s mother was kind enough to provide the details below about the accident, her current health condition, and some of the struggles that lie ahead:

A little after 9:00 in the morning on August 25th, 2018, Autmn Fletcher, left her Mom’s office at Carl Sandburg College and took the back road to go home to Monmouth. At 9:13 AM, a call came into 911 about a vehicle accident. Autmn, was found unconscious and clinging to life. The near head-on collision destroyed the entire left side of her car, pinning her legs underneath the dashboard. It took a reported 30-45 minutes for rescue workers to extricate her from the vehicle. She was transported to a local hospital and then life-flighted to Peoria’s St. Francis Medical Center. We are told that if her legs had been pinned any longer, that loss of limb(s) was imminent.
All told, she has 13 fractures, a lacerated liver, and a small right pneumothorax. Her left femur (upper left leg bone), is shattered. That, and her pelvis, is of the greatest concern. We, the family and friends, are grateful to our Lord and Savior above that she suffered no brain damage, spinal injuries, and most of all, that she is alive. As of this writing, she has been through two major surgeries to begin the repair process, and will have to undergo a minimum of two more major surgeries. Doctors are optimistic about her recovery; however, this road will take months to do so. She will not begin to be able to bear weight on her left leg for at least two to three months.
Autmn and her fiancé have a two-year-old boy, and although they have struggled financially, they have always found a way to make it. Now, with her future unknown, her length of stay in the hospital of at least three months, and an unknown amount of time to getting back to a semblance of normalcy, her little family is in need of financial help more than ever.
Many people have rallied around Autmn and her family since the news spread of the crash, and she and her family have been overwhelmed by the show of love and support. Many have reached out asking what they can do to help. They are in desperate need of financial support, and with much humility, they are reaching out to you, their friends and family, to make a donation to help them through this very difficult time. There are immediate needs: They need to pay off the car that was destroyed in the crash; the car seat for her son that was in the back is missing and needs replaced, childcare for their son is needed as Trimaine has to go back to work, and the list goes on. The future concerns are yet unknown; however, Autmn will not be able to go back to work for quite some time (6-12 months).
Any amount that is donated is very much appreciated. Again, they are overwhelmed by the show of love and support, and they cannot thank you enough for your continued prayers and love. Thank you for considering a financial contribution to this little family, and thank you for your show of love. God bless.
