Throughout history, Autistic Black students have been excluded from education because of an unequal public education system, misdiagnosis, biased standardized testing, and a lack of funding.
Our goal at The Hirsch Academy is to make education accessible to every student because we believe that education is a human right and can be used as a force to transform society and provide equal access to opportunity. As Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
We are creating the Autistic Black Students Matter Scholarship for families with financial difficulties and WE NEED YOUR HELP to support the next generation of powerful Autistic Black students who will attend The Hirsch Academy.
Hirsch offers a 2:1 student to staff ratio, with specialists to support children's communication access, movement, relationships, as well as a revolutionary education. This specialized attention exceeds the affordability of many families who could greatly benefit from this opportunity.
Our goal is to raise enough to cover one years tuition: $31,250 but we would love your help to double it, triple it, or more. The more money we raise, the more families we can help. Please join us in championing Black Families in need!
