El 1er Foro sobre X Frágil y Autismo en Colombia, organizado por SPK Foundation y el MIND Institute, se realizará en noviembre de 2013 en Bogotá y contará con la participación de 10 expertos internacionales en la investigación y tratamiento de estas condiciones.
El 1er Foro sobre X Frágil y Autismo en Colombia, busca:
1. Mitigar el impacto negativo de la desinformación alrededor del Síndrome y el Autismo.
2. Orientar y capacitar al personal médico del país sobre los avances, descubrimientos y tratamientos que existen actualmente para el X Frágil.
3. Ofrecer información a las familias sobre el X Frágil, el Autismo y otros desórdones neurológicos, y encaminarlos en las vías correctas para un diágnostico acertado.
Para realizar el Foro necesitamos costear gastos de viaje y estadía, rentar un espacio, imprimir material educativo, generar contenido digital y costear gastos de logística, transporte y alimentación. Estimamos que el costo total rondará los 15 mil dólares.
Su colaboración hará posible este proyecto y abrirá las puertas a un futuro mejor para las familias con personas especiales en Colombia.

The mission of the 1st Forum for Fragile X and Autism in Colombia is:
1. To mitigate the negative impact of misinformation about Autism and Fragile X Syndrome.
2. Train medical personnel in the country on discoveries and current treatments for Fragile X.
3. Provide information to families about Fragile X, Autism and other neurological disorders and guide them to get the correct diagnosis.
To make the forum possible we need to pay travel and accommodation expenses, rent a location, print educational material, generate digital content and pay cost of logistics, transportation and food. We estimate that the total cost will be around $ 15,000 .
Your cooperation will enable this project and open the door to a better future for families with special needs in Colombia.
