Autism in Film

Tax deductible

We've partnered with Autism Future to support autistics interested in gaining employment in the film industry. This training is geared towards all creative aspects of the film industry. There's a huge employment disparity within the autistic community. The goal of this program is to end the disparity by equipping individuals with the skills they need to flourish in the industry. Your donation goes toward the cost of training, support, and placement. This program is designed to help autistics, neurodiverse, and those with developmental disabilities find job opportunities and give them the working tools to not only get the job but maintain gainful employment.

Who we are:
We are a Non-Profit 501(c)3 organization committed to educating and assisting African American families with Autistic children.
Autism affects children of every race, ethnic group, and socioeconomic status. African-American children are frequently confronted with late diagnosis or misdiagnosis. African American Autism Support is vital to the development of underserved children.
Our goal is to help families identify the warning signs of autism early on. We can start to overturn these disparities by helping African-Americans with autism reach their full potential. We empower families with information on autism that they can use to advocate for services for their children.

Autism Future's Mission Is to provide development services that are tailored to prepare autistics and neurodiverse individuals to find employment in the Film industry. We provide career exploration, job search assistance, job placement, and coaching. We know that employment is more than a job; it’s the opportunity to participate as a member of the community. That’s why Autism Future believes that we can create limitless opportunities for people with Autism by partnering with local businesses, trade schools, and universities. Hearing the phrase, “You’re Hired” gives everyone a sense of purpose and gratitude which is why Autism Future is dedicated to helping the autism community's career path in the film industry. National data indicates that the vast majority of autistic adults are either unemployed or underemployed, with estimates ranging to as high as 90%. Our partnership with Autism Future will help close the gap.
