Autism Awareness through the Arts

The world premiere of Jessica Cavanagh's Self-Injurious Behavior, directed by Marianne Galloway, is up and running at Theatre 68 in North Hollywood, thanks to the efforts of a tireless team that includes executive producers Joe Mantegna and Ronnie Marmo, co-producers Kristen and Mark Machiedo, and producers Laura Buchwald and Bren Rapp.

Though we are under way we are still raising funds to support this production, which is a beautiful example of the transformative power of theater and a perfect  blend of art and philanthropy. The funds we raise support Autism Works Now , which provides workplace readiness skills for autistic adults, and The Ed Asner Family Center , which supports differently abled individuals and their family members.

With your support, this production will:

-Donate a percentage of every ticket sold to Autism Works Now and The Ed Asner Family Center
-Employ Autism Works Now program participants to work at the theater during performances
-Provide the Autism Works Now business Glorious Pies, run by program participants, the opportunity to sell concessions at performances
-Provide Autism Works Now program participants training opportunities for jobs related to theatrical production
-Raise awareness of the needs of the growing population of autistic adults through media coverage, interviews, and promotional opportunities related to the show
-Program special events aimed at educating the public and include Autism Works Now experts, program participants, and celebrities

We greatly appreciate any and all contributions. Those $100 and over will receive special mention in the production's playbill and other materials. Those over $1000 will receive special mention as well as complementary tickets to performances and other perks.
