Autism Awareness Blue Ribbon Week Funds for UMCARD

Donation protected
April is Autism Awareness Month. I believe that it is imperative for society to truly understand what Autism is, and how it affects individuals, so we are able to live in a society in which individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families feel included.
My brother, Gabriel, is under the spectrum. He and my family have endured the hardships of living in a society in which people are ignorant of Autism for thirteen years now, as I am sure others in the Autism community have as well. It is time for this to stop; it is time for us to come together and fight for equality for people with Autism. As Temple Grandin once said: “Different, not less.”
This April, be kind and inclusive, wear blue on April 2nd (National Autism Awareness Day), and donate! I am raising funds for University of Miami’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, so that they can continue to help members of the ASD community like they have helped my family.
Please spread the word; every penny counts!
If you can’t donate, spread awareness! After all, that is the ultimate goal of this fundraiser.
