Hello there! My name is Summer Saunders and before I say anything else, I must thank you for taking your time to view my profile and even consider giving to my adventure!
My story:
When I was eight years old, I wrote down in a journal that one of my "bucket list" adventures would be to go across the globe to explore Australia! Now that I am a college student, I have been blessed with the opportunity to study in Wollongong (about an hour from Sydney) for the entire month of July 2013! With this trip also comes the opportunity to visit the beautiful country of New Zealand on the way home. This is the trip of a lifetime and I certainly will not take a second of this opportunity for granted.
What you're giving to:
The $3,000 is the airfaire and excursions portion of my trip. Thankfully I can cover the studying fees and the room and board. What you will be helping me see is- the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney's historic opera house and other sites, spend a weekend in the Outback learning traditional Australian culture, visit a zoo to see koalas and kangaroos, AND visit an aboriginal campsite and learn to throw a spear and a boomerang! On top of all that, the money you give will help me fly from the East Coast of the U.S. cross country then to Australia and New Zealand and back.
Other fun facts:
I am a photographer, so this trip literally is an opportunity that will allow me to photograph things I have only dreamed of. If you have any requests of special photographs or anything in particular you want to see, I will be more than willing to email you High Res photos from my trip.
