Walking Because 'POTS' Matters
Do you want to join us in making a difference? On the 26th October clinicians, researchers and friends will be walking, running and/or shuffling our way from the Adelaide Hills to the city, along the Pioneer Women's track. Please support us by sponsoring our 30 km walk in aid of THE AUSTRALIAN POTS FOUNDATION LTD. Every donation will help!!
The Australian POTS Foundation is committed to improving outcomes for those with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) by raising funds for improved research, advocacy and support.
POTS is a condition of the autonomic nervous system which usually affects adolescents and younger adults in the prime of their life. The condition can develop after viral infection and is known to be the most common condition found in people with long-COVID.
One quarter of people affected by POTS are unable to work or attend education and over 800 000 thousands Australians are thought to be living with POTS. Yet in Australia, there has never been any government money allocated to research or support for people affected by this debilitating condition.
The APF is currently run entirely by volunteers. Beyond minimal running costs, all funds raised will go directly to improving research, education and support for those living with POTS in Australia. Help us make a difference.
