Aussie Christians & Friends For India COVID Relief

 

 

Hi Friends & Family,

My name is Peter and I serve as pastor for a small church in Western Australia.

I usually attend an interdenominational Pastor's Prayer Meeting every week with approximately 10 pastors from other churches.

 

During our meeting today we spent majority of our time together interceding for, and praying for people in India. Watching the news about what is happening over there is gut wrenching. When we consider the fact that every single person who is affected by the virus in India (and around the world) is a son or daughter of God - just like we are... it hits home!

As church leaders we have amazing networks with trusted Christian leaders, and socially responsible organizations on the ground in India - who provide direct pastoral care, help and support for communities in India. Praying for India is powerful and wonderful however, I can't help but think that we are also invited to support and participate in tangible ways where possible (the parable of the good Samaritan comes to mind).

 

The aim of this gofundme initiative is for the Church as a whole across Australia (and others who would like to join forces with us) to unite to raise funds for our brothers and sisters in India. I am partnering with  Sonlife Ministries Inc - who have established and trusted networks in Australia and India.

 

Sonlife Ministries  will work with pastors, trusted networks, and the Greater Ganges United Mission in India to distribute the funding and or supplies to suffering communities who need help on the ground.
