Austin's Therapy Fund

Donation protected
On July 23, 2016, Austin was at the river with his brother, Logan, and sister-in-law, Jordan, and their dog, Riley,  Austin dove in the river and hit his head on an unknown object.  Logan noticed that he was floating and dove in and brought him to the bank.  Logan and Jordan lifted him over the boulders and called for help.  Austin was bleeding profusely from his head.  When they got him to the hospital they learned that he had a spinal cord injury at C4 and C5.  He had surgery three days later to fuse his spine.  He is now a quadrapalegic.  He has limited use of his hands and arms and is paralyzed from the chest down. He is going to Neurological Recovery Center ("NRC")  in Fort Worth and he goes to Travis Martin in Dallas for physical therapy.  He is also doing acupuncture in Fort Worth.  Some of his therapy is covered by insurance but not all.  He is working hard to gain as much movement as he can.  But he needs help.  His mom, Dana, quit her full time job, moved to Fort Worth and is his primary caregiver.  His Dad, Ricky, travels from Odessa to Fort Worth every weekend to help as much as he can while holding down a full time job in Odessa.  They are making this sacrifice so that Austin can have the best therapy possible.  When the money runs out they will return to Odessa.  Please donate to his cause if you can. It will be so appreciated!   The picture is of Austin and some of his therapists and assistants at NRC.

If you are unable to donate, please pray for Austin.  For healing, for determination, and for his parents to make wise decisions concerning his treatment.  This is invaluable.

Thank you.
