Austins cancer fund

It started out as what we thought was an allergy so we gave him some allergy medication and made a doc appointment. The doctor wasn't sure what it was and gave him an antibiotic just in case there was any infection and he was required to take that for 7 days as well as we set up an appointment with an eye specialist. The eye specialist told us that he was loosing his vision in his right eye which had been swollen longer than the left had and suggested that we needed to go to the children's ER to get some images done. We waited for them to get us checked in to the hospital once they had drawn blood and did the first CT scan. We had no idea cancer was even a possibility. Once they drew more blood and did a surgical biopsy of one of the masses growing behind his eye they were able to tell us that they think he has myeloid leukemia and he will be getting a bone marrow biopsy to confirm it we are supposed to be able to start treatment later this week hopefully. Austin has been such a trooper through all of this so far and I hope he continues to stay tough to get through this fight. Neither me or my husband are working right now as we are making sure to be by his side the whole way through this fight.
