<div>The team has entered in the worlds toughest row, The Atlantic Ocean to raise funds for the Veterans Transition Centre.

<div><strong>About the race: </strong>We will be rowing 3000 miles unsupported from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean - with each of us rowing 2 hours on, 2 hours off, 24 hours per day for an estimated 6 weeks.
</div>

<div><strong>Meet the team</strong>: Our teams consists of West Australians Alisdair Putt, Stuart Moore, Andreas Koenig, Alastair Horton and we are the only Australian ocean rowing team in the December 2023 trans Atlantic race! We all have strong connections to Australian military service, including three of us being current and formerly serving Royal Australian Navy and Australian Army members, which inspires our fundraising to support our fellow veterans as they transition to civilian life following their service to the nation.

<div><strong>Meet the charity: </strong><a href="https://www.veteranstc.org.au/." target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Veterans Transition Centre</a>. The focus of the recovery and restoration Centre is simple. It is to assist service people to transition from the military and active service into a successful civilian life and career and in so doing help them avoid the growing challenges of mental health and other issues associated a long career in the military which often involved arduous training and/or active service and exposure to trauma.

<div>Ex-service people have an enormous amount to offer however adjusting from a long military career to living and working in civilian life can be extremely challenging on the individual and families.
</div>

<div>All R &amp; R programs including the mast head Transition Program is run on a “bottom up” philosophy of listening to, involving, responding to and being guided by the participants whilst ensuring top level governance, professionalism and financial management.
</div>

</div>
<div>The Centre will be able to offer a full suite of services such as counselling, training, development and vocational guidance as well as providing a ‘Safe House’ for any ex-service person who is in need of support at any time.
</div>

</div>
<div>The R &amp; R Centre is easily accessible (only 45 minutes from Perth CBD) yet provides a private space that is integrated with and surrounded by nature, providing complete privacy for the members and one that promotes an environment that is more in-line with a relaxed rural retreat.
</div>
