Aussie All Star - Emily's Musical Theatre Dream

At only 16yrs old Emily has always know that she wanted to have a career in Musical Theatre. She has performed in a variety of productions over the years, never losing site of her goal.
Recently, Emily was selected as 1 of 40 kids (12-18yrs old) that will represent Australia at the 2020 Junior Theatre Festival in ATLANTA, USA in partnership with Junior Theatre Celebration Australia, Music Theatre International and Oz Theatrics, representing Players Theatre Company, Oakleigh, Victoria.
The group will travel to New York where they will collaborate on a performance piece with Broadway Industry professionals, attend workshops and Broadway shows, with a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet some of the production team for some tips and tricks of the industry.
From here they fly to Atlanta to join up with 6,500 like minded young performers to perform their New York collaborated piece at the Junior Theatre Festival, attend skill development workshops and get advice from celebrity guests. Past guess include Zac Effron and Darren Criss.
After this amazing event in Atlanta, its off to the happiest place in the world Disneyland and Universal Studios, where Emily will get to participate in a life changing Performing Arts Musical Workshop behind the scene at Disneyland. OMG!!!!
The cost of this amazing opportunity is a significant cost to us as we are a family of 5 on a single income. I will be chaperoning Emily on this adventure and have been working hard to cover my costs which is the same amount as Emily approx $8500, so approx $17,000 in all. Not including passports, meals or spending.
So far we have managed to gather approx $10,000 through garage sales, cakes stalls and Anthony selling his beloved VFR motorbike and go cart. We will continue to fundraise to help get to our goal but any support you can offer in helping Emily fulfill her Broadway dreams would be greatly appreciated.
Emily will also be looking at New York Universitys whilst there to persue her dream further.
