Aurora vom Saal memorial fund

Our grand-daughter Aurora, had Dravet Syndrome.  This condition is a rare, catastrophic epileptic encephalopathy dysfunction of the brain that causes multiple types of seizures; these seizures are refractory so they do not respond well to seizure medications.

Aurora had a bout of these horrible seizures on Sunday night, March 4th, 2018 which resulted in cardiac arrest, causing lack of oxygen to her brain which sadly resulted in her death.

This loss at such a young age was completely unexpected and utterly heartbreaking to her mother Allison, her father Ian, her older brother Logan, to Pam, her husband Richard and the rest of their extended family.

The cost of even the simplest memorial with a small plaque is beyond their means. Aurora's adoring father has stayed home from work ever since she was 6 months old to care for her.  After her enrollment in school, he was always ready to pick her up from school at a moment's notice if she were to have a seizure. She was his everything.  Her mother, a teacher, is still in a state of shock and immense grief.  Any donations will go towards a memorial site for Aurora as well as support for the family due to lost wages.
