Aurora Photography & Design Studio Fire

Hi everyone. On the morning of Thanksgiving 2022, in Benton Park, Saint Louis, MO a fire broke out in the basement under Aurora Photography and Design's studio. My best friend Jen has suffered a major loss.

The historic building had an old, nonworking elevator shaft that went right up into the studio. The fire traveled up into the all-brick hallway creating a tunnel for heat and smoke, therefore her studio was majorly affected. There is a huge hole in her floor and anything that wasn't burned was hit with water while the brave firefighters contained the fire.

This is devastating since photography is not only Jen's passion but it is also her livelihood. After taking a hit during Covid and not being able to be open, photographers were already struggling financially.

While she does have some business insurance, it will not come close to covering everything. Photography props, gear, gowns, etc. are completely ruined. She will not be able to function in this space for a long while. We cannot let her go out of business, she is too great at her craft!!
