Hello friends, family and kind-hearted individuals,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Auntie Phoebe Umali Sutherland. On May 13, 2023 she suffered an aneurysm and peacefully passed on May 17, 2023.

Through this GoFundMe campaign, we seek your support to help alleviate the financial burden of funeral services and honor her memory in a meaningful way.

Auntie Phoebe was an extraordinary individual who possessed an unparalleled capacity for love and acceptance. Her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and open arms drew people from all walks of life, making her a cherished friend to many. She volunteered for many years at the Filipino Community Center of Seattle and dedicated 30 years of service to the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center, only just retiring in 2019.

Auntie Phoebe exemplified what it means to be a loving family member. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she constantly prioritized their well-being and happiness above all else. She provided unwavering support, offered guidance, and showered her loved ones with affection.

Beyond her immediate family, Auntie Phoebe touched the lives of countless others through her selfless acts of kindness. She was always there to lend a helping hand, offer a comforting word, or simply be a compassionate listener. Her genuine care and concern for others made her a pillar of support and a source of inspiration for those who knew her.

Your generous contributions to this GoFundMe campaign will go directly towards covering the costs associated with funeral services, including funeral home expenses, memorial arrangements, transportation, and other related costs. Any remaining funds will be utilized to support the family during this difficult time.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your support, both in contributions and prayers. Your kindness and generosity will make a significant difference in honoring the memory of a woman who gave so much of herself.

With deep appreciation,

The Umali and Sutherland Family
