<div>My journey started in 2016 my first race being a fun mud run.
</div>
<div>In preparation for that I started running around Boulevard. I soon fell in love with running and the energy of racing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2017 I participated in my first Xterra event. I had originally signed up for the short triathlon but changed to the duathlon as I was scared and not comfortable doing the swim. To my surprise I went home with a gold medal! I had fallen in love with Xterra racing.
</div>

<div>In 2018 I was pregnant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2019 I had worked up the courage to take on the short triathlon. The swim was still very intimidating but I pushed through.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Xterra had to take a few years of through Covid.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2023 it came back and I finally achieved my dream of completing a Full Triathlon!! Placing third in my category.
</div>

</div>
<div>I did the Full Triathlon again in 2024.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the winter of 2025 I fell and broke my ankle running. I was devastated as I was unsure if I'd be able to continue my racing journey. Thankfully I made a full recovery and returned to do the Full Triathlon again that summer, placing second in my category. I viewed the race as a celebration of my recovery.
</div>

<div>Xterra Sleeping Giant is a qualifiing race for Xterra Worlds. My placing earned me an invitation to compete in New Mexico in 2026!!!
</div>

</div>
<div>I am a single mom and as much as I wanted to accept this incredible opportunity I do not want it to take away from my children financially. So I am saving all of my tips from work, reaching out to businesses for sponsorship and my community.

<div>This will help with registration, gear, travel and accommodation to get me and my bike there.
