Audrey Popham Mitchell Medical Expenses

Sisters to the rescue! Hi everyone, it's Grace and Ashley, Audrey Popham Mitchell's sisters. Our sister, Audrey, was recently diagnosed with Lyme Disease after years of not knowing what was going on in her own body. For the past ten years, our family has walked through a terrifying time. It began with migraines, countless MRIs and scans, suspected Multiple Sclerosis, Sjogren's Syndrome, and a variety of suspected debilitating autoimmune diseases. After literally a decade, our sister finally has her answer - she has Lyme Disease. Without going into too great of detail, it has left her in daily, chronic pain. It's oftentimes debilitating. You would never know it, but there are many days Audrey can't even get out of bed the pain is so great.

She and her family (husband Brent, son Barett (13), daughter Madeline (10)) fight this as a family... but from the outside looking in, it's heart breaking to watch. If you've had a family member suffer from chronic illness and chronic pain, we know that you can relate, and we hate that you know the feeling, because it is heart-wrenching. Audrey and Brent have found a treatment center in Idaho for Audrey to go to next month. This is not covered by insurance and Audrey and Brent have already spent more money than we honestly feel comfortable sharing with you all trying to find help for Audrey.

As you can imagine, as her sisters, we feel quite helpless and also know that we have the best communities who I believe whole-heartedly want to help where help is needed. If you feel you're able to, it would mean everything to my family (and Audrey, who doesn't exaaacctly know we are doing this for her... because she is the most selfless person who doesn't ever want to be a burden) and would help Audrey get the care she needs and lessen the financial burden this has placed on her family.

Please be praying over Audrey, her family, and the team of doctors in Dallas and across the country that have been trying to help find a treatment plan for our sweet sister.
