Aubrey Isbell (Pooh Bear) is a 6 year old little girl, that has been battling a rare brain disease.
A normal baby at birth. A little behind on milestones, but could walk, talk, eat and play. At 18 months when she began to walk, we noticed something was wrong. She would lose her balance and fall. We began our journey @ Scottish Rite Hospital. A year later she was rapidly regressing. She could no longer walk, talk and now required a feeding tube.
She has Atrophy to the Cerebellar, Global Developmental Delay of Unknown Etiology, Hypotonia, Gastrostomy Tube Dependent, Dysphagia, Seizures, Feeding Difficultly, Ataxia, Nonverbal, Spacticity, Muscle Myopthy.
Her specific diagnosis remains unclear.
HBOT is a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
Our goal with this page is to raise funds to take Aubrey to a specialized therapy in New Orleans. The therapy is called HBOT (oxygen therapy in a hyperbaric chamber). Dr. Harch has been brought to our attention more than once and we have heard some pretty amazing success stories.
This therapy is quite expensive though, as insurance does not cover it. So we are hoping to raise enough to help to cover the expenses for this treatment, which will take 8-10 weeks depending on how long we are able to stay.
