Help rebuild Beirut and bring food to the homeless
On the 4th of August, tragedy hit Beirut, as a consequence of incompetence of politicians, corruption, carelessness, etc... My home and many others were severely damaged, leaving almost 300 000 Lebanese people homeless.
Because of the lack of trust for our government, all aids are going directly to NGOs, or hand cash directly to those who are severely affected.
Being abroad has never been so painful. A sense of helplessness reigns in the air. Although we are doing everything we can, still being away in such situations, when you see all your friends, people you don’t know, compatriots help your neighborhood recover from the tragedy, is hard butgives me a little bit of hope.
With an already collapsing economy before the tragedy, Lebanese people are in serious need of every single penny you can spare.
No matter how small your contribution, it all matters. These days, 10€ can get food for a family for at least 5 days. Let that sink in.
So. Friends in Amsterdam, Brussels and Europe or wherever you are, please think of those who are homeless and donate asmuch as you can. If you already have, a thousand times Thank You.
My aim, is to send the money collected tothose families who need to repair theIr windows, front doors, etc... Also, as a chef, I will make sure to help some of those families to have food on their tables at the end of the day.
