Leonard's health is failing. We are raising funds for a new civil defense team to most acutely meet Mr. Peltier's needs in anticipation of going HOME.

Leonard is still held as a high-risk offender for Aiding and Abetting no one. He has been in a lockdown torture chamber.

Leonard Peltier is entering his 48th year of an unjust incarceration. He is being held for Aiding and Abetting a crime that a jury said was NOT a crime. The jury of his co-defendants, who did not have evidence of the brutal murders at Pine Ridge Reservation withheld, determined that those men had a right and a duty to defend themselves and their loved ones.

Fabricated evidence. Withheld exculpatory evidence. Witness coercion/threatening. Violation of International Treaty Law -- the FBI threatened a developmentally disabled woman into signing three false affidavits. The third affidavit they wrote themselves.

Listen to a man who spent 20 years with Leonard Peltier as a guard. Bruce Smith said, "If we allow this man to die in there, his blood is on our hands."

We would not stand for this today. Yet we are. Leonard Peltier's own prosecutor, former Attorney General James Reynolds, has issued two public apologies, saying, "We could not prove that Leonard Peltier committed any offense on Pine Ridge Reservation."

Former FBI agent Colleen Rowley said in a letter to the U.S. President that “Retribution seems to have emerged as the primary if not sole reason for continuing what looks from the outside to have become an emotion-driven ‘FBI Family’ vendetta."

Leonard is still being held as a high-risk offender in a high security institution. Despite being beyond a model inmate, with seven Nobel Peace Prize nominations, the BOP will not reclassify him.

Leonard Peltier has spent the better part of three years locked down. No showers. No communication. No commissary. The latter may seem trivial, but the tap water is tainted. Inmates depend on bottled water from commissary.

He has not seen his family in years. Leonard has great-grandchildren he has yet to meet.

While locked down, Leonard exists in his half of a 6 x 10 cell. He watches people taken out on gurneys because their muscles have atrophied.

It is crucial to get Leonard reclassified and into a medium security institution before he comes up for parole in 2024.

The United Nations recently issued a 17-page statement noting the repeated Constitutional violations that went into Leonard's prosecution and continued incarceration, asking for his immediate release.

Please read some of the facts of Leonard Peltier's case at www.freeleonardpeltiernow.com.

Leonard has said our Constitution is hanging by a thread.

IT IS TIME FOR LEONARD PELTIER TO GO HOME.
