Attorney for Racial Injustice in WV

I was attacked and placed in jail in May by a racist state cop in Berkeley Springs, WV. It's a long story, but I was charged with obstruction (I'm not quite sure yet what I did that was obstruction). I was tackled to the ground that was gravel while wearing a dress and was put in jail overnight with a sprained wrist, and bruises and cuts all over my body. And my 6 year old child witnessed it all and was threatened with foster care.

Court was in front of a judge that is the cop's friend and I was offered a plea of $50, no jail time, and pay court costs to say I'm guilty after only 10 seconds of being in the court room. They had no interest in hearing my story or my possible evidence. I refused and requested a jury trial since I already knew that it didn't matter what I said, the judge had already made up her mind. Now I have to face finding and paying for a lawyer in WV just so my clean record isn't tarnished for no reason.

Oh... And I requested body cam or dash cam footage, and conveniently there is none. The racism really has to stop.
I'm a teacher. Not a criminal. Being black does not change that.

I'm also interested in making this public for body/dash cams to be a requirement in this county, or hopefully the state.
