Social distancing yet want to volunteer? Interested in having a safe, positive impact in our community? We have a way. Those serving on the front lines of the coronavirus fight need to eat. Area restaurants need business more than ever. AMPLIFY Clearwater is starting a grassroots program creating solutions for both.
During this unprecedented time, AMPLIFY Clearwater is launching a program called Operation: Attitude of Gratitude – Fuel the Front Line. This program is designed to support our healthcare workers, first responders and emergency services personnel while simultaneously supporting our restaurants and food service business community.
AMPLIFY Clearwater is coordinating restaurants to provide meals for the people on the front lines in Clearwater and surrounding areas, with the program purchasing meals from restaurants through community contributions. We have heard from many in our community that want to help. Social distancing doesn’t allow for traditional volunteer opportunities.
“AMPLIFY Clearwater usually hosts an Attitudes of Gratitude event each year leading into hurricane season. This event is a way to say thank you to those that put their lives on the line to protect ours.” said Amanda Payne, President/CEO. “We are changing it up a bit this year to embrace a new way of saying thanks. Our local restaurants are also an important part of our community, often donating time, efforts and resources to a variety of causes that we are passionate about. This is an excellent way to help them while also saying thank you by providing a meal to those risking their health to help others.”
Let’s come together and stand in the gap for each other as we fight the spread of this virus. We are a resilient and compassionate community. We will get through this. Together we can #AMPLIFYtheGOOD.
