Attie Jamison medical fund

Attie Jamison is a 13-year-old girl who was diagnosed with pancreatitis as a young child, and her condition has recently taken a turn for the worse. On December 18, she will undergo a total pancreactomy with islet cell auto transplantation (TPIAT).

During the TPIAT, surgeons will transplant islet cells that are housed in the pancreas into Attie’s liver in the hopes they will implant and begin to secrete insulin. During the surgery process, Attie will lose her pancreas, spleen, appendix, and gall bladder. She will spend a week in ICU, three to four weeks in the hospital post-surgery, and six to eight weeks in the Ronald McDonald house in Cincinnati, Ohio for daily monitoring of her insulin levels.

Between the traveling and the hospital stays, the costs — both emotional and financial — are going to be tremendous. We’re hoping to allay those costs with interventional prayer and financial assistance through crowdfunding. Anything you can provide in either category will be immensely appreciated.

The family is nervous, but they are quick to tell you they understand God is in control of the situation. They are taking comfort in I Thessalonians 5:18 - “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Thank you for your donation and for your prayers.
