We thank all to those who donated. We really appreciate it! We dispersed the first part of donations to our staff. But as the mandated ‘stay at home’ rule continues to be extended, we can’t return to work until possibly in two more months or more. That’s why we are reposting this fund to allow those who can donate an opportunity to help the Atmosphere staff through this hard time.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Chicago's bars and restaurants have been affected greatly, especially after the governor of Illinois issued a mandated closure of all of those businesses. Unfortunately, most of those employees or contractors have been placed out of work - some with limited resources and others with none. Many depended on their jobs as Bartenders, Barbacks, Security, etc to be able provide for themselves and/or their families.
For 18 years, Atmosphere Bar has been running consistently bringing you entertainment in the Andersonville neighborhood along with having a friendly staff. Some of that staff has been there since the beginning and others in recent months but have won the hearts of our regulars as well as newcomers. Recently, Atmosphere has brought even more amazing changes to the community - bringing all types of people together in a fun, friendly and caring environment. A place were smiles are always there and where some friendships and relationships have been created.
Due to the stay-at-home order being extended in the state of Illinois until April 30th and have the possibility of extending it longer, our staff wont be able to return to work longer than expected. We have now set up this GoFundMe page to ask for those who would like and are able to donate to give our staff some relief during this time of crisis, especially for those who don't have another active job.
100% of the donations will go towards helping the staff of Atmosphere Bar. Current Bartenders, Barbacks & Security will receive these donations and know that they will appreciate every single one. We thank you for being part of this beautiful community at this time of need and hope everyone is healthy and stays strong so once we re-open our doors, we will celebrate with even more happy moments at Atmosphere Bar.
