Atlas Stewart's Adoption

Donation protected
Marly and Codie have been trying for a baby since they were married in February 2015. Marly was diagnosed with PCOS in 2013, and with that came infertility struggles. Over the last 5 years, they've tried everything from fertility "diets" to prescription medications. At the beginning of this year, they opted to try an IUI, which sadly failed. The day of Marly's appointment for the blood test to see if the IUI worked and they were finally pregnant, she got a message from an aquaintence (now friend), saying she was pregnant and she and her husband were considering adoption. A few weeks later, she reached out again asking if Codie and Marly would adopt. Of course it wasn't even a question in their minds, and they said yes.

Things were a bit of a struggle at first due to concerns about the baby's health. They were told the baby had only a 5% chance of surviving because he had "no kidneys"... Thankfully, this turned out to be a misdiagnoses and Atlas is healthy and growing as he should be! They are moving along with the adoption process, but to do so they need $1500 for the retainer for the adoption attorney, and another $300 for the homestudy. In addition to these costs, they're still paying for the unsuccessful Fertility Treatments, and are saving on their own to pay the attorney. We are setting our goal high and aiming to raise $2,000 to help with these expenses, as well as any traveling back and forth between Georgia (where Codie is stationed) and New York during the next 4 months.
