Help for a friend

I am reaching out to you because I started a GoFundMe for Shannon Brown my heart and mother to our daughter Londyn. She is such a breathtaking and awe-inspiring person who has overcome so much adversity in her life. These same challenges have also made her the caring, giving, supportive and compassionate mother that I love with all of my heart. 2020 was tough on the entire world, but as the year came to a close, we encountered yet another setback. As many children do, Londyn was running in the apartment and hit her face on a hard surface, pushing her baby teeth into her gums. Later that evening, the apartment caught on fire. The sprinkler system was triggered and the fire was put out. But, between the fire and the water damage almost all of our property was destroyed. Thankfully, we are blessed enough to be safe. In these challenging times, we are both trying to remain strong for our daughter and do what is necessary to begin the rebuilding process. Yet, the damage was irreparable and we know that we can’t do it alone. I am typing this from a hotel room as we work closely with the property management company and insurance to move into a new apartment and create a new normal. Although we are determined to not let events of yesterday define our tomorrow, no matter how devastating they may be… to be fully transparent, we are very close to our breaking points. Mentally and emotionally, this is a lot to deal with. As parents, we are fortunate to have such an amazing little girl to give us a reason “why” we must keep pushing forward.
