Angels Needed

Donation protected
I have a lovely and soulful friend, a mother, who is having a tremedously difficult time.  She came to me in distress, as she had a series of unexpected expenses (car repair, medical bill, lawyer fee for a fight she's waging against the father of her son for unpaid child support and alimony) and has been struggling to find work.  She and her 15 year old son are in danger of being evicted from their apartment.  On Christmas.

She has no family to lean on, she needs help, and said she is praying for "angels." She needs a job, she needs a less expensive apartment (or somewhere to stay in the meantime), and perhaps a place to store her furniture while she is in transition.

I told her how brave she is to ask for help.  That she is a fabulous mother (I can attest to this first hand), and this is no reflection of HER.  It's just her circumstances right NOW.

I've never used this site for anything, honestly didn't even understand it totally.  I know the world is blowing up.  I know there have been more natural disasters and tragedies than we can hold in our brains.  I know that right now, California is literally ON FIRE.   But if you're like me (and Curt), you want to help, you want to do something to make someone's life better/easier and want them to know that there are GOOD people in the world, who CARE, who feel their pain with them, who know that sometimes it all JUST SUCKS.  But you don't really know who to help directly, so you just throw money at the Red Cross and other orginazions who on are on the ground.

And then especially at this time of year, Curt and I are always looking for some way to contribute, to give to those who are struggling.

This is a family who will benefit directly from your generosity.  I feel drawn to help her in any way I can, and thought perhaps this could be the family that we  "adopt" this holiday.   That posting this could be a way to summon some  Christmas "angels."

If you can contribute money, it will help her to stay in her apartment through the holidays (and keep her electricity on), to store her belongings, and to secure a less expensive place to live.

But if you have storage space for her things (Curt is working on this angle too), a guest house or an un-occupied Air-b&b for her and her son to stay in for a while, a job opportunity for this hard-working, diligent mama (who's trying to get work as an administrative assistant, but is open to ANYTHING), or even gifts for Christmas (as they don't have the funds to do that this year), ANY help would be so appreciated.

Most of all, I just hope to convince her that angels do indeed exist.

Thank you for reading this.  And hope your heart is open to this ask.

Many Blessings and Merry Christmas,
Jama
