With a heavy heart, we share the unexpected and devastating loss of Athena Gums—a beloved mother, sister, friend, and soul who left us far too soon. Athena faced many challenges in life, including ongoing struggles with mental health, yet she remained a kind and resilient spirit who meant the world to those who loved her.

Her brother, Andre Gums, is now faced with the heartbreaking responsibility of planning her funeral. Unfortunately, Athena did not have health or life insurance, and the financial burden of giving her a proper farewell has fallen solely on Andre’s shoulders.
