Equal Justice Initiative

The Bowdoin Men's Basketball team stands united with the Black Lives Matter movement in the fight against racism. Our program is working on bettering ourselves to be better allies for the Black Community. We will continue to speak out on these issues and encourage others to do the same.

We understand that we are far from where we need to be as a nation and that this fight is far from over. Bowdoin Men's Basketball is raising money for The Equal Justice Initiative. The Equal Justice Initiative is a nonprofit organization that provides legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons. They challenge the death penalty and excessive punishment and provide re-entry assistance to formerly incarcerated people. Please join us as we continue to spread awareness on these ongoing issues in our nation. It is up to us to make change!
