Guatemala Service Project

In Santa Catarina Palopo, a small town about 100 miles west of Guatemala City, many children live without a privelidge that we take for granted here in the US, a good education. Because of the country's lack of public high schools, many bright students are only able to get an elementary school education, which makes it incredibly difficult for them to advance as individuals and as a society, but we can change that. All it takes is $300 dollars to send one student to high school for a whole year, so if we can all make a small contribution we'll be able to change the lives of so many children. You don't have to donate an entire tuition, but maybe you could give up that soda you get every afternoon for a few days, or that snack you get at lunch. One small donation could make a huge difference in a child's life. Youth Service International is currently supporting 62 students, and with the help of those willing to donate we can support many more. The funds collected with this campaign will go towards funding the educations of the students of Santa Catarina Palopo, and if enough money is raised, the extra will go towards sending American high school students to the small town in order to build a tank for the village's water filtration system. Thank you for your time and any donation you can make. Youth Service International and the citizens of Santa Catarina Palopo appreciate it very much.
