Rally for Tom

We are setting up this page to offer support to Tom and Delores Manders as they navigate through a very heartbreaking situation. Many of you know that Delores is a breast cancer survivor who celebrated her 2-year anniversary of remaining cancer-free in May. Unfortunately, on May29th, tragedy again struck the Manders family when Tom suffered a brain aneurysm. In July, while his medical team worked to rehabilitate him, they also discovered that Tom has stage IV lung cancer that has metastasized. The doctors have given Tom a bleak prognosis of around 6 months. Delores has had to leave her job to provide care for her husband of 34 years. With both Tom and Delores unable to work and Tom’s mounting medical bills, this has understandably put a strain on their financial situation. We are organizing this so Tom and Delores can spend their time focusing on Tom’s treatment and overall health and so they can spend time together and with their children and grandchildren without being consumed with worry over finances. I KNOW this community can help them accomplish this.

Tom is one of the kindest and most generous people. He is constantly lending a hand to others. Tom is a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many of us. Prior to this he had worked at Ariens in Brillion for an amazing 42 years. This weekend, Tom and Delores celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary. They are expecting their second grandchild in February 2019. Please keep Tom in your prayers. We pray that God performs a miracle and slows and removes the cancer so Tom can see the birth of his second grandchild. Please pray that Tom can see his oldest grandson start Kindergarten next year. Please pray that the doctors treating Tom and knowledgeable, kind and capable. Please lift Delores up in prayer as she cares for the love of her life and companion of 34 years. Please pray for their children and grandchildren.
